Easy Wooden Sign

Hi Friends!

I have been wanting to make a wooden sign for the longest time now and last weekend I finally decided to give it a shot!

Here is the sign I made for my parents. I felt like they needed one ;) and it turned out pretty great! I think the size is perfect! I will most definitely be making more of these. It was a little intimidating at first but I figured nothing in life is easy right?

DIY Jewelry Frame Organizer

Hello Friends!

Don’t last minute crafts just excite you? This past weekend we made a Jewelry Frame Organizer (for me obviously LOL) Pretty nifty for an old frame I got at the thrift store huh :)

I was having a problem with my jewelry organization. I would just throw my earrings and bracelets in a drawer, and let me tell you...it was a very hot mess. So, I decided it was time to clean out my drawer and that is when I thought of constructing this little guy.

DIY Entry Way Table

I am pretty sure that the crafting bug bit me or something! Lately, I've been thinking of building, sewing, cooking new things & any other kind of DIY you can think of, and let me tell you pinterest is NOT helping. I stumbled upon a lovely pin that lead me to Ana White's site. I seriously want to build everything that she has come up with. With her and another favorite site I found, Shanty 2 Chic , there is no telling what I will do next!

So my husband and I have finally completed our entry way table!  I am so excited to finally put things on it and decorate it all cute and what not. I got the building plans from Ana White's Rustic X Console The miter saw was at my parent's house so we didn't get to put the X's on the sides, and I was really sad about that. But it ended up looking pretty good without them. Well in my eyes anyways!

When we had put the stain on at first, I was freaking out because I thought it was wayyyyyy too dark. We used the Minwax Jacobean, which I had used before on our headboard we had made. I loved the color! This time I couldn't figure out why it turned out so different. Soon after, I realized we had used a lint-free rag to put the stain on the headboard, which gave us more control of how dark we wanted it. For the table, we just used the sponge brushes and let it sit. I should have gone back and used a rag to wipe off the excess stain, but oh well. I think it still looks pretty bad butt to me! I am sure I will post another picture on here soon with some lovely decor on it. But tell me, what do you think?

Well until next time!

xo,
